CM Punjab Laptop Program – (November 2025 Update)

The Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Program is a significant initiative by the Government of Punjab aimed at distributing free laptops to meritorious and talented students across the province. The core objective is to equip students with modern technology, improve their access to educational resources, and prepare them to meet the demands of the digital age.

The program is strictly merit-based, with selection determined by the students’ high academic performance in their respective degree programs.

November 2025 Update and Distribution Details

  • Phase: November 2025 marks the continuation or launch of the new phase, often referred to as Phase V of the Punjab/CM Laptop Scheme. The government’s goal is to distribute over 110,000 high-performance laptops.

The application process is simple and is conducted online. Students must use the official government portal:

  • Existing Users (who applied previously): You may be required to log in and Update your Profile with the latest academic information (new CGPA/results).

Selection and Distribution Process

  1. Data Verification: Universities verify the academic and enrollment data submitted by the students.
  2. Provisional Merit List: A temporary list of the highest-achieving students is prepared and often displayed on university notice boards for transparency and to allow students to raise objections.
  3. Final Merit List: After addressing all concerns, the Final Merit List is published.
  4. Distribution: Selected students are notified via SMS and invited to an official award ceremony at their respective university or college to receive the laptop upon biometric verification and presentation of their original CNIC.
