The Dhi Rani Program is a flagship social welfare initiative launched by the Government of Punjab, under the supervision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The primary objective of this program is to facilitate and financially support the mass/collective marriages of daughters belonging to poor, orphaned, destitute, or economically disadvantaged families.
The program aims to alleviate the financial burden of marriage on deserving families and help the couples start a dignified marital life.

In November 2025, new phases of mass weddings have commenced under this program, with the government aiming to organize the weddings of over 5,000 couples.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for this program must fulfill the following criteria:
- Age Limit: The bride/girl must be between 18 and 40 years of age.
- Residence/Domicile: The applicant (bride or guardian) must hold a Punjab Domicile.
- Economic Status:
- The girl must be an Orphan.
- The girl must be Destitute/Helpless.
- The girl must be a Person with Disabilities (PWD).
- The girl must be the Daughter of a PWD.
- The girl must belong to an impoverished and economically weak class.
- Marital Status: The bride must not have been married before. (An affidavit is required to confirm this).
How to Apply (Registration) for the Dhi Rani Program
The government has provided a straightforward online and offline procedure for submitting applications:
1. Online Registration Method
- Official Portal: Visit the Government of Punjab’s official portal at cmp.punjab.gov.pk.
- Register: Register yourself as a new user by entering your CNIC, Mobile Number, and District.
- Log In: Log in using your CNIC and password.
- Fill the Form: Fill in all personal and family details related to the bride, groom, and guardian.
- Upload Documents: Upload the required documents (such as CNIC copies, Orphan Certificate, or Disability Certificate, if applicable) in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format.
- Submit: Click “Submit” for the complete form.
- Tracking: You can also track the status of your application by logging into the same portal.
2. Offline / Office Registration
- Location: You can visit the office of the Deputy Director Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal in your concerned district.

Application Approval Process
- Registration: Submission of the application (online or via the office).
- Tehsil Verification Committee (TVC): Field officers conduct a Physical Verification by visiting the homes of the bride and groom to verify the applicant’s claim.
- Program Steering Committee (PSC): The committee grants the final approval.
- Selection Notification: Upon selection, the applicant is notified via SMS.
- Financial Arrangement: Opening an account through the Bank of Punjab (BOP) and completing biometric verification is required.
- Event Participation: The couple is sent an SMS detailing the venue, date, and time of the mass wedding ceremony.
